Chattanooga is the right-size to offer a cosmopolitan atmosphere.  We have plenty of coffee joints, concerts, art festivals, and other happenings – not to mention wireless Internet access in downtown parks and other hotspots.  We’re also within minutes of mountains and waterways that provide your choice of outdoor adventure from hiking and hang gliding to wakeboarding and white water rafting.

At the same time, Chattanooga is a city on the rise, and there are still many opportunities to play in role as we develop our community environment.  Don’t get us wrong – Chattanooga contends with all of the challenges other cities face, and we haven’t developed a recipe for addressing every issue, but for four decades, Chattanoogans have successfully shaped their home through public visioning, volunteerism, and social investment. 

That means you don't join the tail end of a scene that’s “already happened.”  You can become an active agent in a community that’s still small enough to be impacted by the determined actions of individuals and small groups.
